March 19

My prediction from yesterday was pretty accurate!  It was clear, sunny, and about 51 degrees today!  There were strong winds earlier and they are about 10mph from the SE now due to the high pressure system moving to the east.  I think tomorrow will be cooler and have some precipitation as western low pressure systems move through.

March 18

Happy Spring Break everyone!  For the next week or so I will doing my weather updates from Vadnais Heights, MN.

My prediction from yesterday was not quite right.  Instead of a low pressure system coming down and affecting weather, a high pressure system is dominating today.  It was definitely colder out today topping off at about 43 degrees.  Winds were coming from the W, but are calm now.  It was bright and sunny all day (that's a high pressure system!).  I think tomorrow will be sunny and bright again as the high pressure sticks around.  However, the high should shift and things will be warmer than today.

March 17

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!  My prediction from yesterday wasn't quite right.  It was warm today, that's for sure (55 degrees, 46 degrees now), but warmer than I thought it would be.  There also didn't seem to be any precipitation that I thought there would be with the low pressure system coming in.  It was however, cloudy earlier today (stratus) with some fog.  But since then it has been bright and sunny out with just some cirrostratus clouds.  Wind is coming from the W at about 10mph, with was almost undetectable earlier, but has since picked up.  I think tomorrow will be cooler and cloudy as the low to our north will come down, and with it, northerly winds.

March 16

My prediction from yesterday was correct!  It got up to about 50 degrees today (48 degrees currently) and it was bright and sunny with just a few high cirrus clouds floating by.  The wind was barely detectable today, right around 5mph from the SE.  The warm, sunny, windless weather is due to high pressure systems dominating the area to the SE.  I think tomorrow will be just as warm, but there may be some precipitation as the low pressure system to the NW pushes through.

March 15

My prediction from yesterday was not quite right.  It's about the same temperature as yesterday (37 degrees), but should still get a little warmer today yet.  Also, the low pressure system is not coming up from the south, but coming from the west and is bringing some precipitation with it (rain, since it's warmer out).  With that low pressure system, there are winds out of the SW at 8mph and some high cirrus clouds.  I think tomorrow will be warmer and sunnier than today as the high pressure pushes over.

March 14

My prediction from yesterday was right!  The high pressure systems are sticking around.  It's already about 35 degrees and it will warm up a little bit more yet.  It's also bright and sunny out with a little haze and a 12mph wind out of the SW.  I think tomorrow will be about the same temperature, but maybe some precip as the low from the south moves north?

March 13

My prediction from yesterday was right!  It was super sunny out!  There was some haziness and also some high cirrus clouds, but overall it was bright and sunny!  It got up to about 37 degrees yesterday (about the same temp as yesterday) with a light 5mph SW west.  I think tomorrow will be just about the same:  Mid to upper 30s and sunny!
